Emergency First Aid at work (1-day)

It is a requirement of health and safety legislation that employers provide a safe and healthy
working environment for their employees. Employers are legally required to carry out a first aid
needs assessment within the workplace, which should identify the appropriate level of first aid
trained personnel, along with the necessary equipment and facilities. This qualification is
particularly suitable for smaller or lower risk organisations, or where a first aid risk assessment
has identified the need for staff trained specifically in first aid emergencies only.
This qualification ensures learners are able to respond quickly, effectively, and safely to a range
of workplace medical emergencies, including basic life support, choking, and the treatment of
minor injuries.

Assessment & Certificate

Assessment is carried out continuously throughout the course and evaluates your knowledge,

skills, and understanding of managing and treating a range of emergency workplace injuries and illnesses.

Qualification Renewal
be assessed against the same learning outcomes and assessment criteria. This is achieved by attending the Emergency First Aid at Work course.

The qualification is valid for three years from the date of assessment. To requalify, learners must re-attend a 1-day Emergency First Aid at Work course before the expiry date on their original certificate.
